What to Expect

You may initially be unsure about what your relationship with a personal coach should look like. The relationship should be based on trust and be something that is constantly challenging you. My ultimate goal as a life coach is to ask you the right questions so that you find for yourself what you need and want. I am then responsible for holding you accountable for the decisions you make, and goals you set.

A life coach can be similar to a lot of things like a consultant, advocate, friend, facilitator, navigator, and more, but ultimately I will be there to help you take action. The relationship is bound to fail if you expect me to be just a friend who cheers you on, or just a consultant who gives you all of the answers and data you need. I am here to help you succeed, push you and challenge you to look at things differently and stay on the right track. This is a relationship that is a partnership. You can trust me to be a non-judgmental party who is looking out for your best interest with no ulterior motive except to see you succeed.

First, you'll sit down with me over the phone, via online or in person, and do an intake to make sure we are a good fit for each other.  Sessions will be about an hour. During that time we will talk about what you want to accomplish. Through the questions together we'll define your goals and the challenges that could stand in your way. Then we'll outline the steps needed to achieve those goals.

You'll have homework assignments -- things to think about or do between coaching sessions to work toward your goals. You might need to write in a journal or create "action plans" of things you want to accomplish.

As your coach, I will offer support and guidance along the way, holding you accountable for achieving your goals.

How will we work?
